Envision Eye Care has been a trusted name in eye health since 1958, when it was founded as The Vision Center in Carnegie, Pennsylvania by Dr. Michael Freidberg and Dr. Irving Sutton. Built on a commitment to advanced care, the practice quickly became known for its expertise in contact lenses, with Dr. Freidberg contributing to research that helped shape modern specialty lens fitting.
Over the decades, the practice evolved alongside advancements in optometry, relocating throughout Pittsburgh and welcoming new leadership, including Dr. Lowell Lebovitz and Dr. Kelsey Jancaro. Today, as Envision Eye Care, the team continues its legacy of excellence by offering cutting-edge technology and specialized services such as RGP, scleral, and ortho-K lens fittings.
While much has changed, the mission remains the same: to deliver exceptional, personalized eye care. Envision Eye Care is proud to be a trusted resource in the community, regularly receiving referrals for complex cases from medical and eye care professionals.

Envision Eye Care has been a proud member of Vision Source since 1999. This makes our office part of a collaboration of 3,000+ locally owned optometric practices that place heavy emphasis on providing professional eye care and also developing personal relationships with each patient.
Through the support of Vision Source, our doctors are able to provide unmatched personal care and give our patients access to the most advanced eye care services and state of the art technology. Dr. Lowell Lebovitz currently serves as an administrator for Vision Source in Western Pennsylvania.
